Flora First Christian Church

Flora First Christian Church

2026

Comprehensive Rebrand

Flora First Christian is a rural church in Indiana situated in the center of the county. Their unique geography, architecture, and loyal community is rooted in deep joy, history, relationship, and Christ-centeredness.

Flora First Christian’s logo is currently a red heart with a cross running through it and has no further extension of their brand. As they work to refine their identity and continue to look for opportunities to grow, they need a brand that can propel them forward into their future as a church community.

I designed a brand that tells the story of Flora First Christian’s historical rootedness and beautiful stained-glass architecture while encapsulating their identity as a joyful, hospitable, Christ-centered body of believers.

A core attribute of Flora First Christian is joy. Joy is represented through triangular rays of a sun. The diamond is a central element of this design in reference to FFC’s stained glass windows made up of diamonds. The diamonds form arrows moving outward in all directions indicating FFC’s commitment to everyday discipleship and missional living while remaining centered in Christ (and geographically in the county!).
The mark in its entirety is both a diamond and a cross, encompassing the identity of FFC.

The main wordmark is set in a timeless serif font with notes approachability in its soft curves. A secondary sans serif font is paired below to help it feel both modern and approachable.

This color palette’s primary colors are gold and red. Gold indicates FFC’s commitment to joy and community while the red keeps the palette grounded and historical. The secondary colors are lighter and brighter to soften and brighten the brand and help it feel timeless, warm, and welcoming.
